Happy Summer, Burr Community!

I hope you are all enjoying spending time with loved ones, having fun, getting some much-needed rest, and maybe even diving into a few great books! It’s been a wonderful start to the summer for me. I am spending time with my family, traveling to many lacrosse tournaments, trying out new dinner recipes, and preparing for the exciting year ahead as your new principal!

From the moment I stepped into Burr Elementary School, I felt the warmth and welcome that make this school so special. I am truly honored to join a community filled with such heart. As an educator and leader, I believe the elementary years are some of the most important in a child’s life. These early years build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning, confidence, and kindness. My goal is to cultivate a school environment where every student and staff member feels safe, seen, and supported…a place where critical thinking, learning, and fun go hand-in-hand. I am eager to continue to build upon the incredible work already being done here, and partner with you all to imagine what’s next!

As someone who believes that relationships are at the heart of everything we do, I would love to spend time with you this summer! I welcome the chance to hear what makes Burr so meaningful to you. Be on the lookout for upcoming playground playdates and other opportunities to connect before the school year begins. 

To our Burr students: I promise to continue to make Burr a place where you feel safe, loved, and challenged. I am excited for all the learning, growth, and joyful memories we will create together. 

I hope to see you on the playground this summer and I can’t wait to welcome you back at the front door for the 2025-2026 school year!
